Fake Netflix App Spreads Dangerous Malware
If you're looking to get free access to Netflix and come across an app that claims to have leaked Netflix accounts for you to use, don't fall to the temptation to download it. It's actually ransomware.
The program is called the Netflix Login Generator and purports to let you use other people's Netflix login credentials so you can access the movies and shows on the platform without paying for it. With close to 100 million users worldwide, it's a pretty good way to hide the ransomware.
After you download the program, run it and click a button to generate a login, the app looks like it's working on finding a working login for you. Instead, it's actually encrypting all of your files and a ransom note appears when it's done.
Don't fall for this trick. Besides, it's better to pay $7.99 a month versus having to pay a ransom.
